Philippines Cancelled Bell 412 Deals. In a strange turn and quick of events, the Philippines canceled a contract for 16 Bell Helicopter 412EPIs for its air force, only a few days after revealing the deal at the Singapore Air Show.
The cancellation was ordered by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, after the Canadian government, which had backed the agreement for the Montreal-built plane, ordered a review of the acquisition.
