US State Dept Approves on Selling AH-64E Apache Helicopter. The US Department of State authorizes the Royal Netherlands Air Force to buy 28 remanufactured Boeing AH-64E helicopters for a total value of USD 1.19 billion, the US government announced. UU On February 20.

The agreement requires the remanufacturing of the aircraft frames 28 AH-64D of the RNLAF according to the Echo model standard.

The AH-64E includes the most powerful GE Aviation T700-GE-701D engine with front-drive transmission.

The RNLF would receive 51 -701D engines if the deal is confirmed, including nine parts, says the State Department.

Other elements included in the agreement are 17 APG-78 fire control radars, 28 modernized acquisition targets and target designation (MTADS) with upgraded pilot night vision sensors (PNVS).
