SaudiGulf To Buy Boeing Jetliner. Middle East spokesman, SaudiGulf Airlines, will enter into talks with Boeing to acquire up to 16 long-range aircraft.

The Saudi Arabian airline currently operates a small fleet of all Airbus A320s. It also has orders for up to 26 Bombardier CSeries aircraft.

However, Boeing says it will "negotiate the sale" of up to 16 dual-aisle aircraft with the Dammam airline.

Any deal with SaudiGulf will likely include Boeing 787s or 777s, but Boeing has not specified details about the composition of the potential order.

The spokesman added that the talks are part of a package of trade and defense agreements revealed during US President Donald Trump's visit to Saudi Arabia, which began on May 20. Boeing Chief Executive Dennis Muilenburg said the deals would "create or maintain thousands of jobs in our two countries."

SaudiGulf has yet to publicly comment on the talks or detail its long-range networking strategy.
