CFM International Made Billions Dollar Deals in China

CFM International Made Billions Dollar Deals in China. Xiamen Airlines has signed a memorandum of understanding of USD 2.05 billion with CFM International, which covers installed and replacement engines.

The agreement also includes a long-term materials and time support agreement. The engine manufacturer says there are no more details of the agreement available.

This brings the total value of the agreements signed in China, along with the state visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to the country, to USD 9.1 billion at list prices.

Other signed offers include the final order of Spring Airlines for 120 Leap-1A engines to power its incoming fleet of 60 Airbus A320neos.

Along with a 10-year flight time service agreement, the agreement is worth USD 2.9 billion.

Hainan Airlines also signed a MoU, valued at USD 4.2 billion, for the purchase of Leap-1A engines to power 55 A320neos. Part of the agreement includes the long-term support of the engines for Hainan Airlines and several other operators of the HNA Group.

Agreements for new engine orders and long-term support cover 500 CFM engines.

"These new agreements reinforce our commitment to China and solidify our relationships with our customers here, providing a solid foundation for further cooperation in the future," says CFM CEO Safran, Philippe Petitcolin.
