The Huarong lease says its decision to buy the plane is in line with the country's "One Belt, One Road" and "Made in China 2025" policies.

The C919 under development completed its first flight last May, and Comac aims to achieve certification and enter the aircraft in service in the period 2020-2021.

The ARJ21 has been in operation with the launch customer Chengdu Airlines since 2016.
