China Aircraft Leasing Group Orders 50 Boeing 737 MAXs

China Aircraft Leasing Group Orders 50 Boeing 737 MAXs. Hong Kong, the lessor China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC) has made its first order with Boeing for 50 aircraft 737 MAX.

The lessee says the deal is valued at USD 5.8 billion at list prices, with the aircraft scheduled for staged delivery until 2023.

There was no breakdown of the variants, but it is likely that the landlord will mostly have 737 Max 8s.

"We are delighted to announce this new commitment to Boeing," says CALC Chief Executive Mike Poon. "This large order of one of the newest and most popular aircraft will support the acceleration of CALC's business expansion."

With Boeing's order, CALC now has an outstanding order book of 139 aircraft, including 89 aircraft from the Airbus A320 family. It also has an existing fleet of 87 aircraft in its portfolio.
