AirAsia X Signs Deal With General Electric Aviation
Malaysian biggest carrier, AirAsia X has signed new long-term deal with General Electric Aviation (GE).
The deal are about supplying engines to 28 aircraft of AirAsia X fleet. The engine maker will supply CF6-80E1 engines to Airbus A330-300 and possibly with further support and maintenance.
Currently General Electric Aviation is one of the biggest player of aircraft's power plant. The signing ceremony also attended by Najib Razak, Malaysia's Prime Minister and Barack Obama, President of United States and AirAsia CEO, Tony Fernandes as well.
