BH Air To Open Trans-Atlantic Flights From Sofia to USA
18 January 2015. Bulgarian carrier plans to open trans-Atlantic flight from Bulgaria to United States.
Hristo Shterionov, CEO of Sofia Airport says the BH Air (Balkan Holidays) wants to serve the trans-Atlantic route four times a week.
There is no official statement from the BH Air regarding the exact routes they are serve to.
On the other hand, the trust source said that the BH Air will provide Sofia to New York and Sofia to Chicago. These two cities are one of the best destinations for Bulgarian to visit United States. He added BH Air to start the flights in May 2015.
Currently BH Air is not owning any long-haul aircraft. The Bulgarian Airlines has leased first Airbus A330-200 from AerCap Holdings, one of the biggest aircraft lessor since June 2014.
