Boeing Wraps 1,432 Firm Orders in 2014

7 January 2015. Boeing records a total 1,432 firm orders on 2014, the sales is twice from forecast last January 2014.

Most of firm orders came from narrow-body aircraft, the Boeing 737 Series and the next generation Boeing 737 MAX wrap up about 1,104 net orders in 2014. This number is about 77 percent of total firm orders.

On last December, Boeing announces its firm orders till November 2014 can achieve 1,031 net orders. This mean Boeing could boost its firm orders from customers about 400 aircraft just in one month.

The bad news came from Jumbo Jet Boeing 747-8 variant, there was no firm orders in 2014. In 2014, Boeing receives two orders from this variant but customers cancelled the two Boeing 747-8's. So Boeing 747-8's backlog remain 36 aircraft.

Existing Boeing 777 and re-engined Boeing 777 aircraft added 283 orders without any cancellations. While the Dreamliner program added 65 orders and become 41 firm orders after 24 aircraft cancellations. Boeing 767 Series recorded four new orders in 2014.
