KLM Postponed Delivery of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines decided to defer the delivery of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner until further notice.
The main reason of doing this is company's attempt to save cash due to cabin crew unions issue regarding collective labor agreement.
National-carrier of Dutch to cut about 600 million euros of capital expenditure in over two years. At the results, not only Boeing 787-9 are delayed but also another ten aircraft on list order delayed as well.
Currently KLM has placed about 10 Boeing 787-9s order and the first Boeing 787-9 should be delivered on October 2015. Automatically, the postponed will affect all delivery time of the aircraft.
