Emirates Converts Fleet, Airbus A380-800

Emirates converts fleet into all Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 series aircraft. The carrier has retired the last Airbus A330 and A340 from operational active service. Since January 2015, Emirates has retired five A340s and 18 A330s.

The average age of the retired fleet is 16.5 years. Although this is still below of international standard. Because over 25 years of operational, most aircraft will enter retirement phase. Also the carrier will phase another 25 aircraft in 2017 and 2018 out. Ensuring customers to have modern and comfortable fleet.

Currently Emirates known as the largest Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 operator. They have been received 85 A380s. There will be another 65 A380s to come. So 140 aircraft in total, the carrier also will acquire both engine optional.

While, currently they are flying Boeing 777-200ER, -200LR and -300ER on its fleet. In total they have 160 aircraft. Emirates claims whole fleet have better fuel efficiency and green emissions.

Emirates known as one of the world's largest airline. The gulf carrier offers worldwide flights in hundreds of cities. Emirates also fly over 50 million passengers annually.
