Philippine Airlines Receives Another Boeing 777-300ER

Philippine Airlines Receives Another Boeing 777-300ER. Boeing and the Avation leasing company celebrated the delivery of Avance's first Boeing aircraft, a 777-300ER, which will be leased and operated by Philippine Airlines. This aircraft is the tenth 777-300ER for the national company of the Philippines.

"The Boeing aircraft will serve our long-distance operations, a move designed primarily to improve the total passenger travel experience and the delivery of services in flight," said Jaime Bautista, president and COO of PAL operations.

"While we already have eight 777 serving on the west coast, the incoming units will also increase other trans-pacific flights." Bautista added that "the Boeing 777 is our flagship for long distance operations, and with its scope and operational capability, the flag operator will be on a par with other full service operators along the route."

"We are pleased that our first double aisle delivery is a Boeing 777, the marquee airplane in its class," said Jeff Chatfield, CEO of Avation. "We are confident that this aircraft will complement our regional and single-aisle fleet and will help Avation continue to grow as a full-service commercial aircraft lessor."

Philippine Airlines received its ninth 777-300ER earlier this week and will use the new aircraft mainly on routes from Manila to North America. The transporter will fly the 777-300ER directly from Everett, Washington, to Vancouver, British Columbia, where the planes will enter Manila.

"Boeing and Philippine Airlines have been strong partners for decades and today is a special occasion to deliver their tenth 777-300ER," said Dinesh Keskar, senior vice president of sales for Asia Pacific and India at Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

"The 777 continues to outperform all measures, providing exceptional value to our airline and leasing customers." There is no better testimony to this than the confidence of Philippine Airlines in its new 777-300 putting it directly in service with its flight from Vancouver to Manila. "
