VietJet Acquires Additional 50 Airbus A321neos. VietJet Air has ordered 50 additional Airbus A321neos, confirming the memorandum of understanding signed at the Farnborough Air Show in July 2018.
Airbus says the order raises the number of A321neos that VietJet has ordered to 120.
Its managing director, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, said the A321neo "will help us expand the network significantly, especially on international routes."
The new agreement signed on November 2 in Hanoi, by the head of the airline and the commercial director of Airbus, Christian Scherer, coincided with an official visit to the French Prime Minister, Edouard Philippe, who was present with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc
