Genghis Khan Airlines To Receive Business License. The new Chinese company Genghis Khan Airlines is about to launch, as it requires a commercial license.

The carrier received a preliminary regulatory approval for the first time last March. The Civil Aviation Administration of China now wishes to comment on its commercial license application before January 17.

The state-owned state airline will invest in passenger and cargo air services from the Hohhot Baita International Airport. On its website, it indicates an objective for the start of operations at the beginning of 2019.

The Chinese regulator adds that the airline has been approved for the purchase of three regional Comac ARJ21 jets, has signed a terrestrial services agreement with Hohhot Baita International and has been granted the 9D air transport code.

He also recruited the necessary personnel, including 21 pilots and 10 maintenance employees. The proposed carrier had already considered using Bombardier CRJ900s. Last August, however, he placed an order for 25 ARJ21, with options for another 25.

Its objective is to reach a fleet of 25 aircraft within five years, with services serviced by 40 destinations.
